The Painting

This project, heavily inspired by Dishonored, was a palette cleanser for me, something I knew I was relatively comfortable with doing. It only uses a couple of modules, and a pretty simple lighting setup. I did the modeling in Maya, the textures in Substance Painter, and rendering in Marmoset Toolbag 3. It was my first time using Toolbag for a whole scene, and while the navigation and UX is not on par with actual game engines, I’m pretty satisfied with the final result. The ground and ceiling textures are from Substance Source, the rest is mine. The design of the chairs and the columns on the wall are from the Dishonored 2.

All in all, I’m happy with the result and ready to move to something new and on a bigger scale!
